On top of the Full Moon in Sagittarius, we have a sextile contact between Mars and Jupiter spilling over from last week. Since Mars just moved into Gemini and Jupiter is in Cancer, you can use this energy for taking action about your home, security, and family. Mercury is retrograde, so it is much better to focus on revising, reflecting, and upgrading things rather than initiating new ones. Gemini is a mental and verbal energy, so your planning, thinking, and discussing get motivated as forms of action.

Now, there is a thrilling astrological phenomenon happening which happens only once every few thousand years. It is called a basket configuration, commonly associated with prominent astrologer André Barbault, who spent a long time analyzing and writing about this pattern. This one is more interesting and popular for astrologers as they debate the meaning of this and wait in excitement. It includes generational planets Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter will join them. The alignment will start forming this week and will be exact around July 19 to 21. This will not have a sudden and personal impact, but it is a slower shift in the collective consciousness of humanity, taking years or maybe even decades. There are many ideas about it, but André Barbault said that this is the peak of human civilization and a very benevolent energy. It may not resonate now, but we will see down the road, a few years later, if he was right. So if you are consuming astrology content, you are likely to hear this, and I wanted to give you an FYI here.

Mercury retrograde is starting in Cancer. You know what it is in general: electronics and communication have issues, and it is better to review rather than start new things, because if you do start something new, you may need to do more revisions than normally required.

But the Cancer emphasis needs to be discussed here a little bit, especially with Mars in Gemini overcharging our mouths. People will likely feel more defensive and take things personally around this time. We will be moody and even feel a pull toward the old days. Our old feelings may surface. During this time, it is best that we are conscious of our words, careful not to offend others, and also try not to take things personally. This applies until the end of July 22.

July 2-4, Thursday-Saturday

Alright, this part is the most important one for us. Mars and Uranus will be making a conjunction, and that means explosive and unexpected events. Fights, accidents, sudden rage, and anger can all be in the cards. The thing that makes this worse is Pluto making a trine to these two planets, adding fuel to the fire. Pluto brings power and control themes to the table, making us go into conflicts of power and control with others.

Please be careful and don’t go into a quarrel or a physical fight. Stay away from dangerous places and people. If you are doing risky sports or hobbies, pause for a while. Here is what makes things complicated: Jupiter is starting to form an opposition with Pluto. The aspect will be definite later in July, but its effect is starting. This opposition is named the “Gambler’s Curse,” and it emphasizes not pushing your luck or over-extending your chances. If you are into betting, the stock market, or any area where risk-taking is involved, July is not a friendly month. Be aware of that.

July 5, Sunday

We are closing the week with a sour square between the Sun and Saturn. This brings friction between the duties and necessities we have and our need for nurturing ourselves, family, and security. This energy reminds us that we need to balance our desires, duties, security, emotions, and family matters. Play the long game, but be mindful of short breaks and immediate matters.

The USA has been on the road to transformation as it lives through its Pluto return. July 4, coincidentally its birthday, marks a major milestone in this process. The Mars-Uranus conjunction and Full Moon have a very significant relationship with the USA’s and Donald Trump’s charts. There are many theories out there about how this may be the start of civil unrest or rising instability. I am not going to disregard the opinions of my colleagues.
