Foreword
We have a very busy sky for the week ahead and one of the early celestial events will be the Full Moon in Capricorn. While Full Moon effects can start early and continue well over seven days, there are additional events after it which are very prominent, so make sure you read the weekly post for next week as well from here. I promise I kept it short. I think this is the most important Full Moon of the year. Let’s see what this Capricorn Full Moon has in store.
Duty Calls
I am not going to lie, this is not a delightful Full Moon. The Moon is in detriment in Capricorn, and it is at the opposite end of Cancer, the sign it rules. There is a sharp contact from the Sun and Moon to Saturn and Neptune. Saturn is in fall in Aries, and it is also the ruler of this Full Moon. Neptune causes fog and confusion. What this says is, the flavor is far from easy.
During this time, life will likely reveal some duties we have to take care of, and emotionally, we may not feel motivated to do them. Not in a way where we lack energy, but these things may not be the stuff we like to do. They may go against our personality, or we may think they are risky. And they can be risky. More on that in the next section. But there is a confusion and illusion element here from Neptune.
The only supportive energy here is coming from warm Venus in Leo through a trine to Saturn. When used proportionally, it is a satisfying and pleasant energy that can recharge us through the pleasures of life. So hobbies, romance, art, and fun things in life can be used to recharge yourself. Key thing is, PROPORTIONALLY!
Which Duties to Answer
Mercury is stationary at the time of the Full Moon, and a few hours before it, Mercury starts its retrograde. You know what that means; anything you start under Mercury retrograde will likely require more revisions and effort. So I would focus on the matters at hand, things that need to be finished, fixed, or revised.
These duties may be family-related and things that should be done for the family and home. House chores and fixes are very fitting for describing this type of energy; things that are connected to home, things that need to be done, even if you just don’t like them emotionally.
Safety First
The accident and volatility challenge is not directly coming from the Full Moon or its ruler Saturn. I wrote about this in the weekly post in detail. But to put it here concisely, Mars and Uranus are about to touch each other. These signify explosive, unexpected events like accidents. There is a powerful support from Pluto to these two, which adds power and fuel.
Avoid risky things this week. Not just activities, but places and people as well. You may consider yourself a lucky person. Not this week. Jupiter started forming its opposition with Pluto, which is often referred as “Gambler’s Curse.” It encourages people to overextend and try their luck harder. With the Mars and Uranus conjunction, the margin is very thin. Be mindful of this.
Best Thing to Do
I think this is a great Full Moon for retrospection, review, and planning the adjustments. Mars just passed into Gemini, so our mental faculties will be the main driver. With Pluto’s powerful support, take a break from execution and write, read, and think about what you can do better and where you need to stop. Mercury retrograde in Cancer brings memories and old thoughts, and this supports the same theme.
Mercury retrograde in Cancer, with the Mars and Uranus conjunction in Gemini, can also bring the risk of miscommunication, hurting people’s feelings, people taking things personally, and feeling sensitive. Instead of too much interaction, this energy would be more beneficial when used for internal retrospection.
This has been a longer post and I am not writing about world events here. You can find that in the weekly post.
Stay safe.
You got this,
Matt
