Importance of Eclipses

Eclipses are one of the most important events in astrology every year. Although solar eclipses represent energies that impact society and mundane, world events, they also have significance in people’s lives if they are in close proximity to the placement of planets or angles of one’s natal chart.

Both on a personal and mundane level, eclipses represent fated events that cause a significant shift in the dynamics of life. They have a notorious reputation because astrologers of the past associated them with unfortunate events like plagues, wars and earthquakes.

The fundamental driver here is the symbolism that the light is blocked and order is disrupted. This fueled a biased/selective perception that focused specifically on things that could go wrong, especially for kings, their authority, countries and empires.

So there is no need to be anxious. There will be endings and new beginnings, and this is the nature of life.

Eclipses can show their impact up to 3 months earlier and 3 months later. So we are already well within the range of influence at the time I publish this article.

Eclipses in Leo

Typically, eclipses in Leo represent changes in leadership, celebrities and public figures. Leo is the sign that symbolizes leaders and public figures.

While Leo has expressions of honor, loyalty, courage and generosity, it also has a shadowy side of egoism, domination and lavishness. We can expect those who are in the spotlight, not just world leaders, to fall if they have been expressing the shadowy side of Leo, while new ones rise to replace them who carry its positive expressions. This also includes kings, nobles and royalty.

I can confidently say that we will see a significant leader, if not many of them, falling from power or grace.

As Leo is a sign of expression, we may also have shocking revelations about those who are popular and on stage. From Hollywood to your workplace, this may manifest as scandals involving people who carry the Leo archetype by personality or title.

Personal Level

As it is for leaders, we may be reaping the results of our tests in the areas that we are leading in our own lives. It is important to check ourselves and see if we are out of balance when it comes to our ego, lifestyle and how we express ourselves.

If you find an opportunity to be a leader, to present yourself or your work, or if the spotlight is on you, this is a great time to be courageous, creative and present. Jupiter is also in Leo, so the growth and opportunity are there. Just remember not to have too much pride, vanity or arrogance.

This is also a great time for hobbies, flirting and romance, or having children. If you have children, spend time with them. Leo is a fun and warm energy, so without exaggeration, have fun during this season.

This caution also includes spending because Leo energy can bring vanity.

If you want to change your style, hair or look, this energy is constructive only with moderation. Especially, I would avoid any change, like aesthetic operations, that is hard to reverse or not reversible at all.

Venus has a trine with Uranus while both are making a sextile to Mercury, so you may have sudden ideas to change your taste and look in an exotic and distinct way. While it is not harmful to try new things, just make sure you don’t regret them later.

This may also manifest in the form of doing things against those in power and authority due to the Pluto and Mercury opposition, which I would not recommend.
