Yeah, but what is Chiron?
Let’s first start with what Chiron is. It is an asteroid, and it takes 50 years to move through the zodiac. It hangs out 4-6 years in each sign and signifies important changes in the world, as well as in our personal lives.
In our natal chart, Chiron shows the area of our wound. Most of the time, this wound manifests as an emotional one. Rarely, I have seen it manifest as a physical wound.
Chiron is called the wounded healer because it connects to the centaur Chiron in Greek mythology, who was actually a healer and teacher of heroes like Hercules. But he had a wound that he could not heal. This symbolism tells us that we gain wisdom and mastery through the wound Chiron signifies in our birth chart, and healing comes through helping others who are wounded.
As Chiron changes signs, it brings both healing and wounds. Let’s first start with the mundane perspective, then move to the personal level based on the ascendant sign.
World
Now, I won’t be saying pleasant things in this section, but don’t panic or feel doomed. Your personal experience will likely differ based on where and how you live.
In the past visitations of Chiron to Taurus, we saw significant economic and ecological crises. One example is 1926-1934, when we experienced the Great Depression and a global economic crisis.
Opening up ecological crises, we may see food, job, and security crises. As you have probably heard, there are concerns regarding fertilizer shortages due to the Hormuz channel closure and super El Niño fears. These may be early signs of what Chiron in Taurus can bring into focus.
The timeline for this is such that, as it moves into Taurus between June 19 and September 18, we will see a small trailer of its action. It will retrograde to Aries on September 18, and then the full action will start in April 2027 as it moves into Taurus completely and stays there until July 2033. Especially around April 2028, it will conjunct Saturn in Taurus while having a long, sharp square with Pluto. There is a risk of crises and, hopefully not, disasters around food and safety.
It is not all doom and gloom. It brings healing to existing wounds on top of the wisdom received while dealing with Chiron-infused ones. For example, the last time Chiron was in Taurus, there was a peace deal signed between Egypt and Israel, ending their conflict. As the peace deal talks continue with Iran and the USA, we hope that Chiron heals this issue. For the food side of things, we may get creative and have a leap in farming techniques, increasing yields with alternative technologies.
Personal, Sign Based
This is a long-term effect, 6 years, as I have given you the dates. Below I have written my sign-based interpretations, and it is better to read based on your Ascendant sign instead of your Sun sign. If you don’t know how to find your ascendant sign, check out this article here, it takes less than five minutes.
In addition, the trailer effect that I discussed in the world section also applies to the personal level. So be aware of your life between June 19 and September 18, and see what is healing in your life and what is wounding. You may notice subtle changes in your health, both physical and emotional, or the health of things in your life, like finances and relationships. Check your sign below for a hint. That effect will likely be a trailer of what is to come between April 2027 and July 2033.
Chiron will be wounding and healing the themes of security, stability, and peace for the respective area of your life based on your Ascendant Sign. Again, it is not doom and gloom. There is a healing opportunity for existing issues. The simplest and clearest way to express this is self-development. Take a look at your Ascending Sign and think of existing issues in the areas below, then seize the opportunity for healing.
